AR: Urban Habitat

$49.00

In this workshop, students will design, build, and code a 3D urban habitat that provides a safe space for native wildlife in developed cities. They will research the needs of local wildlife, such as food, shelter, and breeding spaces, and use this knowledge to create sustainable habitats that support biodiversity in urban areas.

Students will then use 3D modelling tools and coding platforms to bring their designs to life, adding interactive features to simulate real-world conditions like seasonal changes and wildlife behaviour. They will also explore their habitats in augmented reality (AR), offering an immersive experience that deepens their understanding of both design and environmental conservation.

By the end of the workshop, students will have created a fully interactive 3D model of an urban habitat, gaining valuable skills in digital design, coding, and ecological thinking, while learning how technology can help promote sustainability in urban planning.
